Over the years clients have enquired about long term timelapse, typically for construction projects.
The downtime of lockdown and the release of the pi high quality camera enabled progression towards a complex spec
-cheap enough to record multiple views
-cheap enough to be stolen
-data removed from site to cloud and also backed up locally when offline
-good low noise 4k image quality
-lens changes deliver an appropriate field of view
-weather resistant
mk3 pi camera. simple onboard capture or can move to onedrive. (we have built 4g connections to do this)
mark 2, 3d print, POE delivering to Onedrive using 4g router and gif gaf sim. The 3d print case is stylish but now superceded with the grey box at a fraction of the cost.
Mark 2 installed. With secondary ply box to increase durability.
